I still haven’t caught up on the whole thing. Technology! *shakes fist*
From what I caught: The one that took me aback the most was him saying he hadn’t intended – or anticipated – Rodimus/Magnus as a ship. He also talked a bit about Drift/Rodimus (that maybe it could have been a thing – maybe it had been a thing, sometimes – but they wouldn’t have been looking to settle down together, and Rodimus was ultimately happy for Drift and Ratchet); about a definite connection and “maybe a frisson of something” between Megatron and Minimus; about Cyclonus and Tailgate’s wedding (”very loud, a lot of singing”); about whether anything had been planned between Velocity and Swerve (no); about whether there was anything between Dominus and Kaon (”not in the way you’re thinking”). I’m sure I’m forgetting some, and that’s just from the portion I caught, which was MAYBE 45 minutes out of a… two and a half hour stream? Something like?
Oh! And he said Swerve would totally be up for dating Ryan Reynolds. Which, yes. 🙂
To clarify, people didn’t ask him ABOUT Ryan Reynolds. Someone asked, “Would Swerve ever date a human?” and the answer was, without hesitation, “He would date Ryan Reynolds.”
There was also a tidbit about a hypothetical Simpatico wedding (although he said the ship itself was implied as eventually canon) – it would, apparently, be very ‘complicated’, in that they’d constantly be trying to outdo each other in subtle little ways. 😉
Oh, yeah, I remember that now!
For some reason, my mental image is just Perceptor and Brainstorm reminiscing years after the wedding, telling the story to someone who wasn’t there: “Well, it did get a bit complicated, of course. Dear Stormy and I kept trying to one-up one another. You know, in subtle little ways.”
*cut to a wedding flashback, with Brainstorm and Perceptor running from an 800-foot-tall walking carniverous wedding cake that shoots flames from its eyes*
Ugh you know what, there’s this Stephen Collins cartoon I cannot find anywhere, but it was basically riffing on couples who host elaborate, exotic, expensive holidays as part of their wedding. So you had these guests in spacesuits who had been trying to reach this reception in simply the most ~unique~ and ~interesting~ location, which was like, the 10th dimension or something.
I feel like that is the logical conclusion of these two planning their own wedding.
#the whole thing is like a 2.5 on the Brainstorm Scale
Absolutely. At LEAST. Hell, they probably spawned additional alternate universes just trying to settle on the most unique location.
They probably warped causality just planning the menu.
