Since I’ve been really busy with other artwork I decided to use my humanisations for the DJD for this day. I’m really proud of how this turned out.
And the DJD still have their more dangerous functions but never use them to kill or hurt anyone.
A guy parks over two parking spots? That car goes right into Tesarus’s grinder.
Some teens are riding their bikes in an area that has a “no bikes” sign? Those bikes are now getting melted by Helex.
There’s a noise complain from a loud party? Tarn has now broken the music equipment with his voice.
Someone is walking their dog in a “no dogs” zone? Say goodbye to your dog because Kaon now owns that dog, he’s picked it right up in his hands and it’s not that persons dog anymore.
This is the information I was able to gather about Tarn, Deathsaurus, and the DJD from Alex Milne and James Roberts during TFNation 2017.
Deathsaurus is on the same power level as Tarn.
Kaon is blind by James Roberts’ design.
Tesarus has an optic network behind the “X” on his face. (This can be seen briefly in the last issue of the Dying of the Light story arc.)
Tarn could affect a combined Combiner with his Voice without a problem. He could even cause them to de-combine.
Tarn’s Voice may have some problems affecting Overlord, but it would still cause damage and pain.
The only two that are stronger than Deathsaurus are Overlord and Megatron.
Megatron is the only one who can go toe-to-toe with Overlord
Tarn has OCD and will pick at the injuries on his face, hence the extensive scarring.
Tarn has slits on the sides of his face that he uses to amplify his voice or make it appear that he is speaking (and using his Voice) even though his lips aren’t moving.
In reference to Deathsaurus’s character… Deathsaurus had everything pretty well “sussed”, and things were going well for him…and then Tarn came along.
Deathsaurus, compared to some of the more “unhinged” villains, is more level-headed and just wanted to do right by his crew. He was pretty happy in his little corner of the universe up until Tarn and the Decepticon Justice Division came after him.
Didn’t the DJD track Overlord by spark signature? I wonder, if Fulcrum was dormant/in stasis, if that spark signature wasn’t visible until he came online again. That’s how my brain’s explained it, anyway, though I just now realize it’s fanon with no conclusive in story proof.
That makes absolute sense to me (and explains the timing of the DJD showing up, certainly). I guess my only question would be, why was Fulcrum on the List to begin with (why were they tracking his spark signature), if they had no reason to think he wasn’t dead? Like, he was put on the List because he survived his kamikazee run (”He lived, Vos”), but… they didn’t know he survived until his spark signature popped up.
Now, I’m separating “sentenced to death” from “put on the DJD’s List” here, and that might be where I’m going wrong. It’s possible that the DJD have records of all Decepticons sentenced to death, and they track them all just in case, even if the DJD isn’t carrying out the execution. (Which I don’t think they were, initially? The DJD seems to be reserved for cases where the execution is supposed to involve a lot of pain and humiliation, whereas K-Cons almost seem to be given an opportunity to die with honour, so I never figured they were the same thing.) If that’s the case – if the DJD just has records of all those spark signatures – then it makes perfect sense that when Fulcrum’s popped up again they’d go, “Huh. Okay. Plot a course for Clemency.”
